Swimming
Teaching your child to swim at a young age allows them to develop lifesaving skills that will aid them throughout their life! Take your child to the pool for public swimming - to give them time to practise and develop important skills and techniques while having fun. Playing in swimming pools can also build a child's strength, stamina and general skills. Going to the pool and playing with your child under safe, supervised conditions is one of the best ways to help them become confident in the water.
At leisure centres across Hambleton we offer a proven Learn to Swim Programme that children can progress through from babies to swim club level.
We have a range of teaching and main pools for young children to swim and play in. With a range of water based fun activity classes and pool parties there is lots to choose from.
Please note that children under 8 must be accompanied into the pool by an adult, and an adult can take no more than 2 under 8 year children into the pool.
To find out when Public Swimming sessions are available please view the pool programme at your chosen leisure centre.
