Swimming Lessons
Learn to Swim
Hambleton District Council's four leisure centres - in Bedale, Northallerton, Stokesley and Thirsk - offer a full range of swimming lessons. With classes for everyone - from toddler and beginners to competitive swimmers and adults - it's never too late to learn! Every week the centres teach over 3000 people!
Swimmers follow the ASA Learn to Swim National Plan for Teaching Swimming (NPTS) giving them a wide range of skills. The skills they learn are like pieces of a jigsaw - when put together result in a competent, confident and safe swimmer. Never forget - safety in water saves lives.
